Meet Maggie

Hi there! I’m Maggie Phillips M.A., CCC-SLP. I’m a pediatric speech pathologist who’s passionate about the intersection of language, literacy, and speech sound disorders. I want to help your child communicate easily with their friends and family, and I want to help them learn to love reading!

What our families are saying

  • "Without hesitation, we wholeheartedly recommend Maggie to any parent seeking the best possible start for their child's speech development journey. She truly is a gem, and we are forever grateful for the impact she has had on our son's life."

  • "We always appreciated Maggie’s ability to connect with our son, inform and provide us with resources, and genuinely caring demeanor. She responds promptly to questions and is great at communicating with us about our son's progress and how we can work with him at home... We saw a huge improvement in his fluency and overall confidence."

  • "Maggie is responsive, kind, fun, creative, thoughtful, and goes above and beyond for her clients. She changed our lives for the better with her amazingly high quality speech sessions. So grateful to her and all that she's done for our family. In the two years she worked with our daughter, she went from mostly gesturing and using isolated words to using sentences, retelling stories, and ticking off goal after goal. I can't say enough about how talented and hardworking she is!"

What Makes Into Words Different?

Learn to read with books, colored pencils, alphabet

Convenient.

Research shows that the traditional method of one long weekly therapy session is not always the best option (Schmitt, et.al, 2017).

Our sessions, available in-person and via teletherapy, vary from quick 10-minute meetings multiple times a week to more extensive 45-minute ones. Check out our treatment page to learn more!

Individualized.

At Into Words Therapy, your child is our priority. We care about learning their favorite color and hearing about their summer vacation.

We keep a small caseload so we can stay current with the latest practices and thoroughly prepare for and engage with your child.

Hands flipping through evidence

Evidence-Based.

Into Words Therapy values our field’s science and employs it every day. We stay up to date through continuing education courses, journal clubs, and resources like The Informed SLP.

We're passionate about sharing our therapy techniques to caregivers, ensuring you understand the 'why' behind our approaches.
